Diatonic accordionist who was lucky enough to grow up in Cisternino, a little town near Brindisi, where there is the highest percentage of accordionist of the whole region (together with Villa Castelli).
He had the opportunity to learn the traditional repertoire directly from the elders, and at the same time he studied with Mario Slavi, attending workshops as well with some of the most important Italian and foreign organ players (like Vincenzo Caglioti, Roberto Tombesi, Riccardo Tesi, Joseba Tapia, Stéphane Delicq, Filippo Gambetta, Renato Borghetti).
He combined the study of the instrument with a thorough work of research in the field. That led him in 2004 to be in charge and edit the research CD Tomma tommë – music and dance from Murgia dei Trulli (Ethnica, Pino Gala), and have personal funds for his research in the Archives Sound Pugliese (Archivio Sonoro Pugliese).
In 2008, he recorded his first solo album sendë nà rionettë sunà (Squilibri ed.) in which he performed 11 ‘tarantelle’ from the southern center of the Puglia region. Many of them were the result of his research in the field, that is to say totally new. Thanks to his numerous collaborations, he performed on some of the most prestigious stages in Italy and abroad.
In 2009, he joined the Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino and performed all around the world. He recorded two albums with the band: Focu d’amore and Pizzica Indiavolata.
In 2010, he took part in the giant festival ‘Notte della Taranta’ conducted by Ludovic Einaudi.

Organettista che ha la fortuna di nascere e vivere a Cisternino, un paesino della provincia di Brindisi dove vi è la più alta percentuale di organettisti dell’intera regione (insieme a Villa Castelli). Ha quindi la possibilità di imparare il repertorio tradizionale direttamente dagli anziani e contemporaneamente si perfeziona con Mario Salvi, frequentando anche stage con i più importanti organettisti del panorama italiano ed internazionale (come Vincenzo Caglioti, Roberto Tombesi, Riccardo Tesi, Joseba Tapia, Stéphane Delicq, Filippo Gambetta, Renato Borghetti). Abbina allo studio dello strumento un attento lavoro di ricerca sul campo, che lo porta nel 2004 a curare il cd di ricerca Tomma tommë – musiche e balli dalla Murgia dei trulli pubblicato da Ethnica di Pino Gala, e ad avere un fondo personale per la sua ricerca nell’Archivio Sonoro Pugliese.
Nel 2008 incide il suo primo disco solista sendë nà rionettë sunà (Squilibri ed.), dove interpreta 11 tarantelle della Puglia centro meridionale, molte delle quali inedite e frutto della sua ricerca sul campo. Le sue numerose collaborazioni lo portano ad esibirsi su prestigiosi palcoscenici in Italia e all’estero.
Dal 2009 inizia la sua collaborazione con il Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, che lo porta ad esibirsi in tutto il mondo e ad incidere due dischi, Focu d’amore e Pizzica Indiavolata.
Nel 2010 è ospite nel Concertone della Notte della Taranta diretta da Ludovico Einaudi.
